i just played through gothic 1 again, cause i wanted to, and was currently bored of morrowind....and as i beat the game i noticed something odd. once the sleeper dies, nothing indicates that the temple collapsed on top of "ME" and afterwards, he even says "After the sleeper was banished back into its own world, I returned to daylight. The barrier had fallen, we were free. But for me, the adventure had just begun." i believe that's almost an exact quote....haveing just heard it about 5 mins ago.......

I think the story in Gothic 2 start with some "alteration," not really 100% fit the end game scenes in Gothic.

Yes. That is absolutely correct. But you're just getting ahead of yourself(that character of yours).
At the start of Gothic 2 you'll find out just HOW you got out and returned to daylight, and WHY that for you, the adventure has just begun. That last sentence was actually hinting at a Gothic 2.
Contrary to Goldfish's idea, I think the end of Gothic was designed to have a seamless transition on to Gothic 2.

yeah and also deverlopers didnt know that Gothic will be so popular remember  so they didnt think that they will make Gothic 2 if it will be not popular thats why the last sentence was that way |

well, this kinda just goes opposite of what i said, but the fanfic i just started, had the character in the temple after a collapse....so i guess ill go along with the collapse story....especially since im writing one....
