|
Ultima 5: Lazarus got forums at last. Here's the official announcement from their page:

For some time now, several of you have been attempting to use our Guestbook as a forum.

We've taken the hint. ;-D

After the long, long wait, it gives me great pleasure to announce the opening of the official LAZARUS FORUMS! Want to ask us questions? Want to talk about Lazarus, or Ultima in general? Got suggestions for us? Just want a cool place to hang out and chat with fellow Ultima fans? Here's your chance!
|

Well, for whatever reason, these boards are not open to me.Probably busy.I have a question though. Is there a way to play the older "ultima's" on windows XP and if so,how. Also,if they are playable, where can I get copies of these games in Europe? |

Older Ultimas can be played:
Ultima 1-6 for example in DOSBOX - just a warning: Ultima 1 is playable only in version compiled from CVS, others are playable in normal version 0.57
http://dosbox.zophar.net
Ultima 7 BG, SI are playable in Exult (http://exult.sourceforge.net)
Ultima 7 BG, SI and Ultima 8 are playable in Windows with fanmade patches (I do not remember now web address, but I think you will be able to find it if you look a bit).
How to get old Ultimas in Europe?
I have not ever been able to get them in shop (and I have tried!) and I think that when I looked on web they were sending Ultima Collection only inside USA.
So I recommend to look on abandonware servers.
