Dungeon Lords: Review @ SciFi.com

SciFi.com has posted a short review of 'Dungeon Lords', with a score of 'D-'. Here's the intro:
D.W. Bradley is often labeled "the godfather of the computer role-playing game" genre, most famous for his contributions to the venerable Wizardry and Might and Magic series in the '80s and '90s. After a considerable hiatus, Bradley is back with Dungeon Lords, an epic fantasy role-playing game that combines "old school" fighting and role-playing elements in the trappings of a massive 3-D world.

A D- means what? What is this system?

Also, they should review the latest patch also, which they haven't if they say there's no automap

I believe a d- would be low 60's. An A+ to A- would be 100-90 range, B+ to B- would 89-80 range, C+ to C- would be 79 to 70 range, D+ to D- 69 to 60 range, skip E, F + to F- would be 59 to 0 range. At least thats if they're going they're going on the AMerican school grading system.

Many schools are getting away from letter grades, and doing things by percentage of 100.

I don't understand these bad grades anyway. Sure, the game isn't perfect, but it is a good game and I"m having fun with it.

This game doesn't deserve these low grades. It doesn't deserve an A, but it certainly doesn't deserve a D.

The American school grades are pretty classic. I'm surprised you never encountered them before (in a movie, for instance).

They better hope that that's the case. Over here (an undisclosed country that is a member of the British commonwealth) a D would imply a much worse grade.

At a university I used to work at a D brings you in the range of 40-49%, with less than that being an E (and I can't remember what exact graduation A+ to C- brings).
Even at high school, a D was less than 50% and a definite fail.

If they are using the American system, then a D- equates to about 6/10, which on the face of it really isn't that bad.
