For anyone interested, the Dot NWN server is now running a PW created by ffbj a regular contributor to these forums. Whenever a regularly scheduled session is not in play, the server will run a PW mod so that you can play online with your friends 24/7.
These PW's will ONLY allow server based characters, so you will need to create a new one. Also, item and level restrictions will apply. If you experience any difficulties, or problems, please leave a message in this forum and one of the server admins will deal with it as quickly as possible. Again, make sure you have read and understood the server rules.
Server IP: 195.149.21.207
Password: NwnrpgDoT (It's case sensitive)
Current version 1.65

Edit: The password above is the new one. Version of NWN is 1.66 with CEP 1.52

Question, there were a few of us already using it, and with a different password, so will we use the old one, new one, or have to start all over now?

The mod has been updated, so I'm not sure how that will affect what you have done. Your characters will still be there.
The password may change from time to time, but it in no way affects the game. Various scheduled sessions may have different passwords, depending on the DM organising them. All such details will be posted in this forum.

There should be no affect on characters already created. I am always updating my mod and changing things so you may see different things that you have not seen before. I am always finding mistakes: spelling errors, and other things, so bear with me as you play on the mod. |

I updated the mod in response to some tmi errors and other things that may have been causing problems. Thanks to the group that has been playing. |

@ffbj Did you update the mod currently running on the server, or the one available from the Vault. ie, do I need to re-download and install? Thanks BTW.

Sorry, I was out last night and didn't have time to check the server. I assume someone or something shut it down. Sometimes that happens with updates or regular maintenance. My deepest apologies, but I am as yet unable to be in two places at the same time. I will definitely check it for you next week!!

Not a big problem, just wanted to let someone know so they could check into it. And why can't you be in two places at once, and up 24/7 to make sure all is working well with the world? I think you have just ruined my image of your greatness now.

I've loaded up the alternative PW for the next two months. Feel free to give it a try anytime. You may use the same characters in both, or create new ones, the choice is yours. Any problems please let me know.

Maybe I could dm a session when SGW comes back up. I was thinking the hunt for the Feldorn Beast, as a number of players have that quest. Or other things could be done, if people have an interest. The defeat of the Kobold or Goblin kings could also be in the offing. |

Sounds like a great idea to me. If you have anymore updates done before April, let me know so I can update the server version. Start gathering interest and we'll see what we can arrange. I can certainly post an announcement for it on the main news page. If I knew how to get things posted at NWN Connections, we could post it there as well.

I'm a member too, and I tried to list the server there, but I think I may not have done it correctly. I'd certainly like to see more traffic there.
