I just downloaded the demo last night.
I had a couple of problems and read this board and saw that some people have had similar problems.
I have a GF3 and when I first installed the game I was getting flashing shadows and fire effects, and worse yet lockups after leaving the game.
To solve the graphical glitches I installed the 23.11 reference drivers from Nvidia.
This fixed the flashing shadows and fire effects.
As for the lockups, I found that if I start the game with my desktop set to the same resolution as the game is set I no longer have any lockups. It's a minor inconvienience switching from 1280x1024 to 1024x768 when I want to play, but it's infinitely better than a hard lockup.

Hope this helps someone with the same problems.
