Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion - Early Impressions @ 1 Up |
|
1 Up is the latest site to post up their initial gameplay impressions of Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. The site's readers have given the game a score of 9.2/10. Here is what the editors have to say (without posting a review/score yet) based on two users' impressions:
John: One of the best things about the main quest is that it actually has a lot in common with 24. Wait...stay with me here, I'm not going completely crazy. So far, I've found that every time you reach any kind of conclusive resolution to a problem, what actually happens is that you only really get a sort of 90 per cent feeling, the way you do at the end of an episode of 24. Just as something is resolved, you're already on the path with the next set of problems - and that's a big part of why it's so hard to put down. It's very easy to play the game in a way that makes it feel absolutely relentless.
Read it all here. |

Personally, I cannot stand the 'four sarcastic morons' conversation style to reviews. As I'm sitting here, reading their highly fabricated 'look, a rounded demographic party' synthetic jerkfest, I realized just how awful they made me feel.
Good help humanity.
Bobby says: "I like to wank off while shooting baddies"
Marky says: "This game is totally too slow and long. So I am like totally glad that there is the autothingy feature"
Jennifer says: "I am very happy wth the character selection process. It is awesome"
Xavier says: "I'm just so glad that the XBox 360 is the most amazing machine in the entire universe, thank you Microsoft Jesus" |
