We are considering opnening new forums at a faster pace and closing forums faster too.
We (the mods) have made up a list of forums we think are worth opening, but before I present that, I'll let you all give your input.
What forums for what games would you like to see opened here on RPGDot?

Forums for SW: KoTOR (PC & Console).
And DX2: Invisible War. It is genre bending title, but i think most gamers would like it regardless what their personal favorite genre.

i think you can make a poll, and people can vote what RPG they like most. and after the poll is finished create the forums of the 3-6 best games.

Personally I like just what we have. You could shorten the News threads to two or three pages at the most. I think once we read them we seldom go back. And as things change with a game, a new thread will be added there. Are you trying to improve or trying to save space? I'm just curious.
I would like to see Arx, Gothic 1and 2 Morrowind, and NWN stay for sure. But that is just my opinion. Also keep the special groups of course. I think the sites should be based somewhat on how much help people need to play the game. Without the Arx board, I would never have been able to finish it. Same with Gothic for that matter. This is going to be a hard one to decide.

i would also enjoy RpgDot that little bit more if there was a "The World of warcraft" forum.
And maybe you could make a forum for only the addon of Gothic 2. this isnt too important as the world of warcraft forum i would like to see though.
this is not totaly to do with the topic but what the heck.
I think yous guys should get more news editors as it seems to be alot of the same person posting alot of the time. Also maybe yous could make a forum for "all game reviews. like a members own news page."

Well, if you guys decide to "stretch the genre" a bit by including Deus Ex 2, then you might as well include S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and the like as well. That will surely bring more people to the site...
I don't own a console, but I suppose those who do own them wouldn't mind a forum for console RPGs, such as Fable, Jade Empire, etc. Consoles == more people.
Will you consider opening a forum for Fallout 3 once it's officially announced?
Wasn't there an option, "Friends of RPGDot" or some such, which gave people the option of choosing their own avatar regardless of post count? (Can't find it on the menu at the left...)

what about a forum that includes Dues Ex and Deus Ex 2? most people that i have spoken to say that they consider it an RPG rather than a FPS.
i think of it as the perfect mix of both  |

I would never touch a console game with a 10 foot pole, but I do think it would be worthwhile having a forum for those people who do enjoy such games, and there's lots of them. I didn't mind Deus Ex, though it was too much an FPS for my taste. KoTOR will I think be very popular. Could I suggest a forum devoted to mods and perhaps mod reviews. I enjoy a lot of NWN mods, and others I believe enjoy MW mods, so that might have an audience. It could include add ons too, like SOU, HOU, NoTR.

I think Deus Ex is definitely worth a go. We briefly talked about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - actually there was a thread about adding it to the database but since it didn't get any replies (other than Myrthos and myself), I didn't pursue it.
I'll definitely champion a Fallout forum when FO3 is announced - and perhaps before if there's support - the idea's been raised.
@ziBzi - are you worried about the workload of the newsteam or you don't like that person's style?

Well some of the ideas match with the ones we discussed as moderators already and some are new. I think we'll just open a bunch of new ones and see what happens. Keep the suggestions coming.
As to having a mod forum. Wouldn't that be confusing? People could post about mods in both the NWN and the mod forum to name something.
