Write to Pirahnna Bytes for a better patch and a new control scheme.

I disagree with some stuff in the review, but the game does lock up or bug out fairly often. I had a char get stuck after a dialogue, and keys aren't responding... blaw! Reboot!

And controls! controls!! AAAGH!!!

Is that new version of it? Well as far as i can see, i have no complains about that. I am Gothic addicted, but not blind, so i could easily agree most of it, but we should remeber that Gothic is first of it's kind and there is nothing to compare against, yet, so i'll forgive all bug's and enjoy what i have, no matter who say's what.
Every time i see new game that sounds interested, i seek for reviews about it secondly i try to find demo of it, if exists, if not, i'll wait for releasing and then i seek forums and other players comments, that way i usually avoided to waste my hard earned moneys to crap (still remembering that day when i bought Blood2, just because i liked first one )

The reviewr is quite correct in a lot that he says but some of his comments are due to his crappy PC - like his reboot issues.

We shouldnt ever have to put up with the bugginess that Ive seen in this game unless the software is shareware or freeware.
I mean if it wasnt for this forum, theres no way I would have been able to go past the winch that wouldnt open the old mine door so I could only have completed 40% of the game. And to have to cheat just to get on with it is abismal.
However the game is fantastic when youre not frustrated ! Only if enough of us complain will the developers make gothic2 better.

I don't think it was such an awful review...
Explanation:
One voice over which always makes me laugh is the use of power in the word dead after the leader of sect camp died.
"he is *dead*" and sounds like he's trying to explain things when it according to text is quite clear that the other person understands.(most voice overs are good though)

Fire not showing...I would've laughed at that before I swapped PC,now I have the same problem.(just tested Gothic a little so I don't know if it's the same with magic)
My former Radeon,T-bird,98 SE worked flawlesly, the present P4,ti 200,Win XP doesn't.(when it comes to showing fire/torches and those animations)
So this is prob. due to either XP/GF 3.(haven't looked too hard at possible solutions since I've played enough with the old box)

Lock-ups,crashes and whatnot I haven't seen either of,so that I can't agree with.

Patches lacking...they patched it with the German patches before releasing the english spoken,so there he's simply mis-informed.(and since he has problems I can understand his requests for a patch)

No need for two threads on the same topic. The reviewer responded in the other thread. You can continue the discussion there.
And no flaming please.
