How to get more Mithril.

At the end of my most recent game, I ended up with 2 Mithril 2 handed swords and 1 meteor 2 handed sword. It all started when I tried to make things out of order. I tried to make the Meteor sword before I got the ultimate weapon book. When I put in the powder with the 2 chunks of Mithril, it said that something was wrong. I had already made my 2 handed Mithril sword, so I figured I had to get the book first. However, after I had the book, I tried the powder + chunks combo and still had the something is wrong message. I removed everything from the bar maker and pulled the lever in hopes of clearing what ever was wrong. It then produced a Mithril bar from nothing. I'm wondering if anyone could try to repeat this to see what they come up with. I'm going to try make the Meteor Sword before you get the book and then remove the powder and chunks to see if you can turn it into a Mithril manufacturing plant.
