hi there, i'm new here, i thought i can have some help here... cause i've read the Gothic walkthrough by JemyM (gamefaqs.com) but i cant still finish the chromanin quest...
after i found the 1st book, i tried to go to the 2nd book's place (beneath the tower in the middle of the lake next to Ur-Shak's ruins), but i cant seem to find any books in there... all i can find is a few locked chests...
oh yeah, i havent learned any picklocking skills (untrained), does that have any effects in opening chests? cause i often encounter chests that cannot be opened with picklocks (broken) for example, the chest in Gomez's room, and that chest i mentioned before, in 2nd chromanin book's place |

You don't have to learn picklocking, you just break more lockpicks. Some chests and doors need a special key to open them.

I hated that creepy mission so much!
