If they truly plan to release late May, then (correct me if I am wrong) all the things that are wrong with the demo will still be wrong.

I played the demo, and didn't find any major bugs. The demo has not decreased my expectations in anyway. |

I have experienced zero problems with the demo, and I am really looking forward to buying this game when it is released. It looks like I will be able to get the good old Ultima Underworld feeling again, and I've missed that for a long time. I had not heard of Arx at all until a while back I was browsing through the TTLG forums and heard about it.
The only thing I'm worried about though, is that if Arx is released sometime in May, it will be going head to head with Morrowind. Morrowind is a big game, and it's hype is huge. I've been a big fan of The Elder Scrolls series since its inception, and Morrowind may behaps be the most anticipated game (for myself) that I have ever followed.
I know that Arx is going to be a fantastic game; there is no doubt in my mind. I'm just a little worried that Morrowind is going to steal a little of it's fury. I guess we'll see how things go. Regardless, I will be picking up copies of both Arx & Morrowind. I'm just not sure how I will find time to juggle playing both of them!

The latest I've heard, Arx Fatalis will be released Septemer 2nd. This is because they've just recently switched publishers, to JoWood. All the bugs reported in the demo have been fixed, and most of the feature requests have been honored. This is shaping up to be a great game. |
