Leaving a House?

In Balmora, I killed the guy in Nerano Manor and thats now my house, so I thought I'd join House Hlaalu seeing as that is right next door. I did so, and got my first mission with some Helmet.

But then I couldn't play Morrowind for a while, won't bother explaining why, that doesn't matter, but now I'm back, and playing the main mission, but I want to go off and do some freelance stuff now seeing as I have a combination of Daedric/Glass/Indoril armour and weaponry plus 60k Gold and I'm on the Third Trial mission, so I'm quite well off for where I am. I decided to do the House Hlaalu mission because I want to get myself a stronghold somewhere, but I went back to do the House Hlaalu mission, and I don't know where the helmet's gone , I've forgotten, its not in my house, and I don't know where else it could be. So is there any way to either find the Helmet, or if not, leave House Hlaalu?

Thanks in advance =)

You could (save first) and try killing a member in plain sight.

I thought of doing that, but every time I do, even if no one can see, I get the Imperial Guard after me, which I want to avoid really

Well, you could kill the person, drop all your items then pay the fine, pick up your items and continue.

lol, every signle item I own is stolen from somewhere or the other. Last time I got arrested I ahd to walk around the streets naked with people shouting 'put some clothes on!' until I could find a clothier. Rofl, thats why I love this game

I'll try that, it'll take a while though...and I'll probably end up having to kill everyone in House Hlaalu...not that thats hard, done it twice before when i was bored, lol, then I'll have a total of 4 houses in Balmora

Oh well, that went hideously wrong, I killed everyone, then dropped all my items, and went outside in my underwear, and the guard tells me hes got a death warrant for me, and kills an unarmed guy in his underwear, arg....any other ideas?

Now that's some stern justice! I've never even heard of a death warrant.

Arg, arg, and even more arg. I ran in, and just killed one fo them then ran out with all of them try to kill me. I paid the fine, as I only killed one of them. Then I went to Ald Ruhn to try and join the Redoran, and they said I was still a member of the Hlaalu, but I got expelled! [edited it out, I don't think its really swearing though is it?]
