I'm planig of buying one of these two games and I can play only single player because of my poor connections. Which of this two offers a better single player??? _________________ "Whow, the necromancer is here" -Bartacus to myself |

NWN is quite a crap singleplayer game, imo. I'm very grateful to my cousin for buying the game, so i could try it out at his place, instead of buying it myself and finding out i'd wasted 50$ _________________

IMHO single player in NWN is good (not great). Technically Divine Divinity is better balanced for single player, but is quite hack'n'slash. You choose...

Neither game is spectacular either in story, NPC interactions or replay value. It likely depends upon what you like best. If you really, really love AD&D rulesets then go with NWN. Neither game (as a single player) shakes any foundations nor do either get your blood boiling and begging for more. They are mediocre in a vast field of mediocrity. However, if you MUST play an rpg (as many of us here must) then they will be better than nothing. _________________ When everything else in life seems to fail you - buy a vowel. |

Damned with faint praise. Do you like the idea of downloading additional modules, some of which are quite good? Is so, although NWN SP is quite average, there's a lot of potential value in the community modules.
On it's own SP merits, I think DD was quite a good game and well worth trying if you like 2D ISO games. |

Now I'm getting more confused If I make it a poll it would be:
NWN 1 vote
DD 0 Votes
Both 2 votes _________________ "Whow, the necromancer is here" -Bartacus to myself |

I played both. I am basically happy I bought both and played them. They are very different - they cannot be fairly compared, no more than one can fairly compare Gothic and Baldur's Gate. The graphics in NWN are much better than DD - if that is your thing, go for that. Buy one - don't worry. _________________ When everything else in life seems to fail you - buy a vowel. |

I would go for DD cause NWN is INSANELY easy on the beggining, I wasn't even able to play for more than 10 hours cause I was bored to tears.
IMO DD is a great game. |

I never finished NWN because I was bored to death, and multiplayer doesn't mean anything to me in a game. Now I didn't play Divine Divinity (at first I thought you meant Deathtrap Dungeon!) but from all I heard I guess I'd like it better - there's forum populace in it, and the humor is said to be somewhat darkish. Besides, I'm for supporting smaller studios. So make that a vote for DD. _________________ Jaz |

Buy Divine Divinity. It is good RPG (now I can finaly enjoy it) and I somehow like to support small developers. |

I've played and finished both. For an all round SP experience, I MUCH prefer DD. It has great humour, and good story and varied combat. Think Ultima 7 or 8 ish. There's a heap of varied quests and you can play as you like. However, that being said, also consider Arx Fatalis (an unofficial Ultima Underworld3) or wait for Gothic2. _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

I really recommend DD but I have a question, have you played Arx yet? |
