...should give us some idea about when the English version is going to go gold.

I suspect that they will want the English/international build to have all the fixes that are in this latest patch. If the news says that they are beta testing and will release it in 2 weeks, then perhaps soon after that we will get an announcement about the Enligsh version going gold.

Assuming of course, that beta testing doesn't reveal any huge show-stopper bugs.

Just a thought...

Possible.
Another idea is that Piranha Bytes has enough free ressources to work on the patch because the game has been delivered to JoWooD.
WeŽll know after the release.

Gothic II was in playable condition out of the box. Masses of small bugs and a few big ones, but all more or less harmless.
