Will Jowood ever learn from his mistakes?

With Gothic 2 released about a year after the German version was released and the English addon nowhere in sight, what do you will think happen with the release of Gothic 3.
PB is already working on it, but will it ever become an English topselling game that rocks so totally that no-one can restist it's power?

What do you think??

I found gothic in a store one day, I bought it but it was the only time I ever found it in a shop in belgium, the same for Gothic 2 and if it wasn't for this site I never would have known gothic 2 existed, so probably the same with Gothic 3.
I doubt if we ever get an english add-on released

I think that they won't allow themselves to not take this opportunity. Maybe they'll learn from their mistake with the NotR.

They have to learn from theyr mistakes. Such a brilliant game as Gothic shouldn't just be forgotten and hidden somewhere on the darkest shelves of stores . My personall oppinion is they should change the publisher. Atari isn't bringing them anywhere. They just ddon't make enough commercial and they don't translate the game into english well !

Jowood also released Aquanox 1 and 2 about a year after the German release in English. It seems some kind of policy from Jowood. But they did release the game and they also released Gothic 1 and 2, so I keep believing there also still hope for NotR.

well the 3rd part will be made very nicely probably with a real different engine that will be probably nicer than HL2 or FarCry and offcorse the storyplot will be very nice and if i understood correctly the landscape will be very big this time so i think it will be full time this time . 3 is the lucky nr and 3 will bring the luck to gothic series

As far as we can say anything about G3 already, I think it will be a very good game. The developers are really taking their time for it and have great ambitions. The way it looks now, it will be way different than G1 and 2, but only better. Taking the best from the previous games and improving the rest.

Idiot publishers..

They'll wait a year again and miss the boat once again. I would have hustled out and bought Gothic 2 at full price when it came out but after a year I'd went on to other games waiting for it. Now I'm waiting for it to hit rock bottom on price before I get it.

I don't think the English version will be released on the same day, but I'm absolutely sure there will be an English Gothic 3.

It's the addon that worries me more. Certainly cause of the conversation at Jowood with Plex.(The Forum moderator from Jowood)

i think it's two options togther it will come out a year after the german version and nobody will know about it because the lack of promotion i still remeber walking into a game store and staring at gothic 2 because nobody knew when it was going to come out

Well after the E3 it seems Jowood thinks the same way about Atari as we do. Maybe that's a good sign. Although there's still no releasedate.
