What's the difference between Radeon 9800 Pro and XT?

I'm very interested in getting to know this, because the difference in price between them is around $100 here.

You can go to ATI.com and compare them. The XT has slightly higher pixels, clock count and clock memory is only difference. The Pro is what I just bought, and it is so close, unless you are a real die hard for details or doing other stuff like picture printing or something, I think the pro is all you would need.

There is a great possibility that if you buy a SE version of the card, that you could convert it into a PRO one with just swaping of drivers. I just thught this would be worth considering since most of the cards that were "transformed" this way throughout the world worked just fine. There is always that possibility that you get the one that couldn't be tweaked, so if you have a friend that is a hardware vendor who can verify this to you, and sell you a tweak-ready version, then you are on a road to save some serious bucks and get one of the best cards out there.

Btw, Edith says this is perfectly legal, and ATi is not discouraging it's customers to be doing this. Suffice to say it's not encouraging them either.
