i teleported into the Rift and walked up and opened the cells, got the Sanctum key, then walked back and spoke to rafe. I can't find the beam in the west walkway or even the west ealk way. One walk goes up to the red carpet rooms and the other one goes to rafe. what did I miss? i'm stuck and the rapax are tough! thanks |

In the open area at the foot of the extremely steep ramp down from the house with 4 locked rooms with casters, where you haven't gone through the little double gate, there are 3 openings: Cells full of undead, locked door (you get the key to later) and hall with a hole with lava in one wall. One of the beams across from the lava is broken, and you can pull it down. i like spoilers, really. sometimes I get just plain confused I have the long ramp up with the rooms with spellcasters (done) and the path to a locked gate and Rafe.
Is the gate I want in the red carpeted place? Rapax's are wading thru lava to "chop and dice" me. I don't like this place much, lava monster looks good though and a lot of drops, but will keep looking. And the Bajyn beach was especially well done, the campfires set the mood and caves were fun. I'm trying to finish by Christmas. thanks again for your help. |

The gate i mean is a lock-out; you close the one behind you to open the one in front.
But maybe you can find it if you think back to earlier still: You crossed a long, narrow bridge with Initiates on it, and then maybe you went into their building--it has 4 rooms, one with an 8-tumbler lock(IIRC, that's where you got the Sanctum key)...The other way you can go from there is down the cliff through a gap in the rail. This is the steep ramp i meant before. (You can't go back up it) _________________ If thousand-year-old family traditions are so important to you, why do you have indoor plumbing and electricity in your family's house? |
