Trang/Umpani question (some spoilers) |
|
I'm planning on killing the bugs and allying with the Umpani this time thru just for a different experience. I ended up allying with the bugs for now (I had the flag and perfume already, so I couldn't pass up the free experience), which got me thinking. Let's say you decided to play a "kill 'em all" game and slaughtered the Trang and Umpani without talking to either one. Would that prevent you from finishing the game, since I don't think you could get into the Mook house? Since you get letters from Z'ant and General whats-his-name that give access to the Mook, if you killed those guys without speaking to them, would you then be SOL? |

It seems to be problem. I think you can kill them all, but before that you need to "use" them for your mission. |

I agree with Danicek on this. I had thought about same question earlier, and came to the same conclusion. Only possibility is if Sir-Tech built in a feature where after you kill the second important guy, then you find the mook letter on the body as an item. Somehow, I doubt it though. _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E. When I collected the reward for killing the rapax, Zant handed me the letter automatically. I've already passed it along to the Mook, so I can't do any testing anymore. I wonder if anyone's killed Zant or the General before getting the letters. I bet you're right, Bilbo- they'd almost have to have a letter get dropped. Sir-Tech was pretty good about not forcing you to do many things, so I can't imagine them missing this issue. |

One of Z'ant's drops is the mook alliance letter. I don't know if any of the Umpani drops one. I killed all the T'rang in my first game and worked for the Umpani. Now i always get the big XP's by working for both, so i've never tested for a letter drop (from the general, i would assume... |

So we were not right. It is possible to kill them all and not unite, but you will lose big number of exp. |

There is building of Mook delegation in Arnika. There is hologram, howerer if you come to this building and hologram doesnt apear, this is well known and long time fixed bug (one of few that were in first versions of Wizardry .
Simply this bug appears when you save while Mooks hologram is "on". Then it never appears again.
You must download patch. I am not sure if saves are compatible between different versions. I am sure that between some they are not, but you must try it. |
