Anyone finish Baldurs Gate 2 in multiplayer the first time?

I've had Baldurs Gate 2 collectors edition with 2 add on cds..etc.. since the day it came out, but for some damn reason, believe or not after all this time I've not played it yet, has something to do with Deus Ex, Gothic, Icewind Dale, Wizards and Warriors, Arcanum...etc... haha

so now the time has come I want to play it the first time, but with another person who has never played it but bought the game as well.

Would 2 players be able to player Baldurs Gate 2 just like the single player game is played? anyone done this?? can you save..etc...is there any problems , does it confuse anything? any advice, this will be an interesting and fun experience I hope!

thanks

The host can save and everything. There's not much difference between single and multi as long as you have NPCs in your party. Lag can be a problem, and the sheer amount of time it takes to complete BG2 could be as well (unless you have a really dedicated friend who wants to set aside a few hours a day to complete it with you).

tested it out

Yeah my girlfriend and I started playing it last night, she lives with me and we mainly play games all the time heh

it was sort of weird experience but fun playing a single player rpg with another player

There were a couple of issues, my pausing, which I do a lot was irritating her a bit hahahah and the conversations of some people I talked to didnt show up on her screen! but she could talk to them...however I have a mental thing and wouldnt want her to choose different options than I wouldas the main character, for I'd like the both of us to experience the single player fully

its cool and weird to have one of my party members running around on their own haha

Sounds fun. I hope you enjoy the 'random party member'.
