Anyone using this driver at the moment? If you are, how much better is it compared to version 40.41?
Are there any bugs? Does it improve performance in Morrowind? Does it improve performance in any other games? _________________ (-[ApoK Forever]-) |

i tired downloading nVIdia driver every few weeks...anyway since it's still in beta i'm pretty sure the driver ain't very stable & better avoid it...i will wait for the full/certified version and see how users says at technical sites before download it.
BTW the last nVidia driver (40.41) has problem with UT2003 so don't use it or change back to earlier versions 39.xx (for who planning to buy that game) _________________

Actually, I am using the NVIDIA driver 40.41 and playing Unreal Tournament 2003, and I have yet to find a problem.
Here are my system specs:
----------
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP
DirectX Version: 8.1
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP/MP/4 1602 MHz
FSB: 133 MHz
Memory: 512 MB
Graphics Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 500
Driver Name: NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 500
Driver Version: 6.13.10.4041
Video Memory: 64 MB
---------
I've heard from a few forums that the main problem most people seem to experience with the NVIDIA driver 40.71 Beta is that they receive errors when trying to gain entrance to their display properties. Supposedly this is the same bug that occured on the 40.41 driver in its first release, and then was fixed up. I think. If so, then they should be able to fix this problem up quick, right? _________________ (-[ApoK Forever]-) |
