Ive been wondering for a while if the characters will have hands for once instead of cubes. It would be great to actually see some hand movements in Gothic 3 for once. _________________ The power of GOLIATH will incinerate you all...and I will control it!!! |

Great question. I too would like to see something more realistic than continually clinched fists and repetitive body movements. _________________ "To Serve Man" is a cook book! |

Hands must be very hard to animate properly.
Take the first Max Payne game for example, he always had his hand like he was holding two guns even when he wasn't.
I don't care if Gothic's hands are permanent fists. |

I believe this will change with G3. With EmotionFX technology in use, it would be kinda funny to have verry realistic face-movment (you know, things like talking, smiling, etc), and having so unrealistic hands. Also, I thing one reason for cubic hand was also low poly count per model, which should change in G3.
Just my thinking. |

I also didn't like the sound. Many things must be added.
Kairo's soundtrack in gothic2 was bad. hope it'll be better in g3. _________________ (Firefox_Mythos)(Παντος)Reaperfox(Ρουβαλης)Tezafox Katsaridoktono(Ντουσικος)Che(Ταγαρης)Crusader(nokos)shadowfox(Μηχελης)aquafox(Στελιος)thunderfox_gomos(Γιωργος) |

I don't mind the hands either - but I bet it will be changed. It'll be cool if they do it too. Gothic is (that I know of) the first game where the NPCs and yourself are actually animated (in a social sense) when they talk to you. Most games the people just stand still. _________________ Funny how? |

Well they are using a new engine so to me it sounds like they will change the models and animations no doubt. They should add fingers atleast to make the game..more realistic and better looking. Also they should add more talking animations since there were only like 5. _________________ The power of GOLIATH will incinerate you all...and I will control it!!! |
