Temple of Elemental Evil is Golden
Warrior | 12:36 | RPG
Atari's newest Dungeons & Dragons-based game has just gone gold. Developed by Troika Games, The Temple of Elemental Evil is the first RPG to utilize the D&D 3.5-edition rules. The game is based on the pen-and-paper module of the same name based in Gary Gygax's world of Greyhawk.
The game is scheduled to hit shelves Sept. 23. Watch for the review at that time. In the meantime, be sure to catch up on the latest details of the game with GameSpy's most recent preview. Also, check in to GameSpy Arcade tomorrow at 4 p.m. PDT when Tim Cain, lead designer on the game at Troika, will talk about the latest developments and the game going gold!
This is great to hear. Can't wait to get my hands on it! |

If Troika has success with TOEE, they will be the king of new D&D CRPG developer replacing Bioware!  Bioware is exiting D&D licensed games with their upcomming two new games... |

I already lived through one disappointment this year (LH), but this GAME cannot go wrong (although I was saying that before)

Atari and black isle make D and D licensed games for the playstation. I think they even get news here.
But for PC its only Troika for now. However, I think there will be a NWN 2, as well as a Baldurs gate 3. When I couldnt say.
Look for this game to be a baldurs gate level seller and to have at least 4 sequels. |

Indeed. I can't wait to get my greedy little paws on our review copy and play the heck out of it.
But of course knowing gaming companies there's a chance most of you will have your store bought copy first. That's the nature of the beast.
