Ultimately, I found that the game is trying to be fresh too much. To the point where I'm really not interested in playing the next level with yet another twist. And just about when I get the hang of playing with a set of units, they go and switch it on me. I really hate that. I get no gratification from learning how to play a faction, what so ever.

Technically, the game is superb, as all Blizzard products have been. Content presentation wise... well, let's just say that it sits on my HDD unfinished and I have no desire or motivation to go finish it.

the game looks good, but not good enough to plunk down 60 dollars for. What's up with the rising pc game prices? I think i'll wait for the price to drop.

I agree with ryley, I pick it up when it's in the bargin bin. I have so many games right now that I have on the back burner; Wiz 8, Return to Krondor, Betrayal in Antaria, Morrowind, Dungeon Siege, the list could go on for pages.

It is going for 30.00 at http://www.gogamer.com if you are a subscriber. They don't sell your email addy to anybody, so subscribe. It's a darn good deal. But hurry.

I've bought about a dozen games from them with nary a problem.

In case anyone values my opinion, I got the Collector's Edition (yes, I am a Blizzard fanboy) and played the first seven campaign missions, and stopped at the Human Campaign Mission: The Culling. Two days ago I picked it up again, and I'm almost done with the undead campaign. My opinion of this game continues to improve. I especially like playing as the undead, for some reason (probably ease of expansion).

The SP campaign is way too easy, though, even on hard. But you have to be able to adjust your thinking and your strategy, not just between races but also between missions. That's the challenging part of SP. I also think the custom game is darn hard, but mostly because I haven't gotten a handle on beating creeps yet.

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."

I already have it. I can't finish the human 6th mission. You have to be quick, but it isn,t my style of play! I like to wait, build up my base, get some good units, and now I have to "collect" 100 zombies before Mal'Ganis will do that. HOW COULD I POSIBLY END THAT MISSION????

Take your starting force, take down as many houses as you can before MalGanis shows up, kill him immediately, and keep taking down houses. I reached 100 before MalGanis reached 40. If you keep at it, you really only need a group of meleeers plus Arthas to (maybe six total) to take out the houses. Then you build a small army of footmen, knights, riflemen, and priests to take out MalGanis (be sure to bring Arthas's group to the party too- you'll need him). Build plenty of static defenses for your base, and learn the layout of the town.

It's actually one of the easiest "timed" missions in the game.

That's the main problem, I need time to make an army with knights. When I could build them, Mal'Ganis should be already collecting zombies, and I couldn't defend, when he will come close, with a group of footmen. Also WarCraft works awful on my computer and it's dificult to "move" on the map. It takes me much time to get from the city to the base, and as I sed, it's not my style of playing RTS. I'll try on my new computer (that means tomorrow ). Thanks for the advise

Well, you should immediately take Arthas and the starting troops and begin hunting. You can also kill Mal'Ganis. Once fallen in battle, he won't respawn for another 2 1/2 mins allowing extra time to build up a better army/defense. Also, create mortar teams to destroy the houses. Put about 3 mortars and 2 priests in a group and hotkey them by pressing Ctrl + #. That way the priests can heal the mortars if they sustain damage. Never use them to combat units, just the buildings. Arthas, a few knights, and a few riflemen should be enough to take out everything on the map.

You mean - Arthas and his forces should hunt Mal'Ganis, and the mortars and priests against buildings and zombies?

Sorta. Arthas and his troops take out Mal'Ganis. Then when you go to hunt the zombies, use the mortars to destroy the houses while Arthas and his men take out the zombies that flee out. You really don't need the mortars, but they take down buildings in nothing flat, which saves time.

I think this setup would be sufficient:

Team 1: Arthas, 4 riflemen, 4 knights/footmen, 1 or 2 priests

Team 2: 3 mortars, 2 priests

Always use your hero's skills since they will ultimately determine how the battle ends.

Ok, let's put everything together - At the begining grab all avalible forces and go hunt zombies before Mal'Ganis shous up. In the meentime build more towers for protection and build/upgrade your base to make a team of 4 rifleman, 4 footmen, 2 knights, 2 priests and a second team of 3 mortars and 2 priests. The first team - join Arthas and hunt zombies, but mainly kill Mal'Ganis when he will shou up, the mortar team - destroy houses. Thanks
