So, which graphics card will you buy next? |
|
The graphics card market have heated up slighty since the ATI and Matrox released their next generation GPUs. Nvidia will strike back but will the force be enough?
The question is, which card you will buy next?
In the thread discussion we could discuss about the hardware we currently have...
I just spent (about a month ago) 365€ (euros) for NVidia GF4 TI4400 128MB card. I think it will be enough for atleast a year for me. I do not really know what the next card will be, but SURELY the 9700 ATI sounds nice beating every Geforce down dramatically. _________________ =Moderator of General MMORPG talk forum=

Oh, btw, I realize this thread is a bit technical sort. It is not so common to see such messages in these forums...

i already own a nvidia ti4400. that cleaned me out pretty well, so i don't think i'll be dropping any jack on a new video card any time soon. _________________ "The origin of things, if things have an origin, cannot be revealed to me, if revealed at all, until I have travelled very far from it, and many revolutions of the sun must precede my first dawn. Aye, same here. But the question actually asked about your next gfx card . I know it's hard to guess that now when we have just bought our current cards but ... give it a tought. _________________ =Moderator of General MMORPG talk forum=

I would like to propose another option on the poll. How about 'I desperatly want a new graphics card but am too straped for cash.' |

Well, I'm not going to be getting a new one for some time... due to a complete lacking of the need of one... _________________ Make good choices. |

I own a Gefore 2 GTS too. I think I'm probably going to get a Geforce 4 for my next card. _________________ =Farseer=

My current one is GF2 Pro 64MB. Most likely i won't buy a new cards two years from now, & my future cards would be two generations after R300 or N30, so i chose "i'm not planning to buy a new card". More than one year ago i owned a S3 Trio VGA card with 2MB ( ,imaging how fast new video cards would become in future...), and only could play games produced by Blizzard and BIS/BIOWARE that low on hardware requirements.

I just bought a G3Ti200 Pro with 128MB DDR. I see no point in upgrading further. My next graphics card will be whatever quaility card that comes in my next Totally Awesome Computer. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

I just installed a GF4 Ti 4400-card on my computer yesterday. I think it should be enough for the rest of my rig's lifetime, which is about 1-2 years. After that, who knows. ATI might have something great coming up, but their drivers have always been extremely bad. If that trend continues, I see no point in switching to ATI cards. _________________ "If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you'd best teach it to dance."
