Jedi Knight 2 - hosting a multiplyaer game |

in jk2, i try hosting a MP game, but no one can connect to it. i think that it is because i have a network router. how do i tell the other comp to connect through my router to the comp? |

Your router probably has a firewall.
You'll need to find out what port your JK2 server is using (I think 28070 is standard) and how to open that port in the firewall. Many routers have a "Server" or "Virtual Server" feature where you can type in the port you're concerned with and the IP of the computer those packets should be forwarded to (ie., the IP of the PC running the JK2 server).
Post the brand & model of your router if you need specific help. |
