Questions about Strength/ Crawler Plate Armor |
|
How does strength relate to the damage done by a weapon? some people said that for every 1 strength point above the required strength the weapon deals 1 more damage point. im not sure about this, cuz that would mean a char with 60 str would do the same damage with a 10/10 sword as with a 60/60 sword.
About crawler plate armor, can i get it in ch.2?

melee damage = strength+weapon damage-enemys protection against melee weapons
and i think you can get crawler plates in ch2, if you can learn how to extract em |

Did you search the forum? I'm not sure if this (Gorath and Jaz) will help.
Key quote from that thread:
quote: Originally posted by Gorath
Melee damage = (WeaponDamage - EnemyArmour) + (0 OR Strength)
where '0' is default,
Strength is added in case of a critical hit, which has a probability of 'WeaponSkill'

Yes. You need to find Gestath, who is located in the southeast of VoM. Gestath will tell you about his armor and teach you the necessary trophy ability (be prepared to spend some LP). Then, talk with Wolf (Onar's farm or Bengar's farm), and he will ask you to find 10 minecrawler's plates for him. Give him the trophies and wait for the armor. |

Nope. EverythingXen repeated the same thing there, but much more clearly.

On a critical hit you get to add your full strength to the weapon.
So if you have a 100 strength and are using a sword that does 70 base you do 170 damage on a critical hit or 70 damage on a regular hit. Makes a big difference.
Critical hit percentage is what the percentage on the right of your character sheet is. IE: If you have 15% rookie then 15% of the time when you hit you'll add strength damage. Obviously if you have 100% every hit is massive amounts of death to your enemies, though I'm having a hard time justifying to myself taking it above 60% (lots of other places to spend points, or simply horde them...).

It is comparable to heavy mlitia armour. For details, read Elusion's Faqs. My opinion is it doesn't worth the trouble especially if you haven't saved any crawlers' plate. |
