Hammer & Sickle: Review @ Loaded Inc

Nival's Hammer & Sickle has been reviewed at Loaded Inc. The score is 5/10, although I'm not exactly clear what the reviewer disliked, so here's the summary:
I am a patient guy. I have spent many hours with a lot of titles over the years, many of which never pulled me in during the first few hours, but ultimately sunk their claws and left me feeling like I had spent my time wisely. In this case, I took the same philosophy, hoping that I would eventually find a silver lining in the experience. While I do not feel like the game was a complete waste of my time, I certainly do not feel like it was entirely worth the effort. In the end, Hammer and Sickle was just not fun for me. And for a game, that is not a good thing.

I see what you mean, he seems to have cut out a paragraph, it just doesnt seem complete.

I definatly think he means the difficulty level, it is very very hard game on the Default level of Normal.
A HUGE mistake on Nival's part they eliminated Easy Difficulty and added an Insane Diffiuclty as Hard.
So many people that enjoy a challenging game found themselves reloading, tring again at least 20 times (maybe up to 50 times) PER difficult area.
I can think of at least 20 of those areas, fairly easily, it was to put it midly a hair pulling experience.

Nival could hae Easily boosted all these Negitive reviews for this game by 30% and sales by 50%, if they would NOT have set the Default difficulty to Hard and called it Normal.
It took me a week of Hell to find out about the Custom settings and how they were messed up as a Default setting,

It seems most reviews of Hammer & Sickle just end up being "Yeah, I didn't like it too" but sometimes any points concerning the game get lost or aren't properly explained. There's at least one case of a review (at Gamespot) which leads me to doubt the reviewer has played the game, or played enough of it.
