Question of the day......whats the easiest class?

in my opinion i would say paladin is the easiest class to play. better armor and areas are more easy to get to. plus the runes are very usefull for pulling mosters in. Mercs get lower protection armor and its hard to get the chest in the castles. so why would you be a merc or dragon hunter? Execpt for roleplaying the character. now yes the differany guilds offer differant quests but......when it comes to mellee paladin is the way to go. for archer i would probably go merc and thief. What you guys think?

i think it is easiest with the mages.
in the beginning it is very hard, but later (about chapter 3-4) it becomes very easy, the dragons are no problem and the rest is also a piece of cake.

The Paladins is the easiest guild. It is easy at the begging and at later chapters a LOT easier. This is where I speak the words of another member
".....I was feeling like I was cheating....with the holy arrow...."
Thats says everything.

I totally agree with you.In first chapter you can only lern simple spells of first circle, your armor is very weak but in later chapters circles are becoming more powerful so I think that later the mages are the strongest guild in the game.
But in the first chapter they also have some advantages. For example it's so simple to kill a black troll with fire arrow(and lots of mana potions too) and you can get aboard the paladins ship if you use your title as the "Chosen One" (Paladins are very faithful toward Innos).

I would say that the easiest is the paladin because he can get very strong with a weapon and he can heal himself

this is probaly a matter of your own gameplay style and reflexes
Sheer power, the mage, easily. I look at some of the scrolls I pickup during my travel and I cant believe the dmg 1 spell inflicts.

Merc, if you play it the right way is doable. When I played Merc I had to steal and extort people left and right to keep the potions coming in.

But I love the swordplay and with a paladin and even the lesser heal rune, you can fight and fight and fight some more with no worries of where you next heal is coming from. I ended my paladin game with over 400+ healing potions cause all I ever used was my greater heal rune.

I only played the game as a merc but was pretty easy for me.
I think in most games the mage class is hard ay the beginning but easy ay the end. It was like that in Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights and morrowind ( for me)
