The German version will not work with the English language version as it adds new text etc. to already exixting dialogues. You'd end up with a weird mixture if it works at all. The English language version will be sold seperately.

ehe well i finished the new world allready  in addon i will not tell right now what i saw and whats cool etc but one thing is sure with the addon G2 has again the same spirit like with G1 i remember when i finished G2 i didnt look more that kind of games like i did with G1 but with G2+addon i am looking again that kind of games  so its worth a try |

You can/must join 3 new guilds (Ring of the Water, Bandits and Pirats). With the addon, Gothic 2 has become a lot more difficult, e.g. most monsters are a lot more tougher or even can heal themselves (dragons). Depending on your level, the costs for rising the abilities are higher (e.g. strength 61-90 costs 3 learning points/per attribute point). The weapons make more damage, but you must have more strength to use them, too. |

Then try with level 6 the wargs or the seeking guys in their black cloaks at level 14. The German forum is full with threads about problems with the new difficulty (e.g. people who want to get out of the Mine Valley with level 12, but can't pass the first of the Seeking near the entrance of the pass). The game is still playable, but a lot tougher. |

o.k., concerning the new monsters only the stone guardians (at the beginning) and the fire devils are hard. But those dragons, seekink guys and dragon snappers.... |
