Piranha Bytes talks about the Gothic 3 (Updated)

Piranha Bytes´ Kai Rosenkranz disclosed some new infos about their upcoming sequel Gothic 3 in World of Gothic´s traditional Christmas interview (German).

An English translation will probably be published soon, so here are just the facts:

no horses

no rendered in-game FMVs; they´ll use the engine instead

a simultaneous English release is being investigated; decision soon

Kai confirmed that the game won´t be released in the first quarter. Instead he talks about shipping Gothic 3 "in the sunnier half of the year". GameStar.de interprets this as "late summer".

World of Gothic also received a brand-new piece of music called "Enter the Dungeon" and an exclusive screenshot. You can find both behind the posted link.

The english version is now available too: English version

With the recent release of Gothic II Gold, I'm very much psyched for the next installment in the series. Got a new gaming box for Christmas as well, so I'll be able to handle it. Now all I need is the shiny new shrink-wrapped box on my desk. Merry Christmas to all, and especially to the hard working crew at Piranha Bytes, and all of you here at RPGDot.
