Learning in NOTR

Hello, I've just started playing the Gothic 2 NOTR addon and am a bit confused about the allocation of LP's to abilities.

I've got to about 45 strength and it's started costing me 10LP to gain 5 strength. My Single handed weapon ability is the same. I'm at 35% and it now costs me 10LP for 5%.

Why is this happening?

That is normal......and it gets worse. Notr is alot harder than normal G2. LP costs is just one of the ways they made the game tougher.

Thanks for the help. I had already read a few of the posts and thought that would be the case. Just makes it all the more interesting.
