I build a new system, Anthon xp 1600, ASUS V700TI vidow, MSI mainboard: K7T266 PRO, Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 5.1, MS Wiondows XP with all available updates, 512 MB of PC1200 DDR ram. EVERYTHING is updated to the lates drivers/bios.

Of course, Gothic crashes frequently, CONSTANTLY in the "Old Mines," and has done so frequently. ANY suggestions? Seems like this was release a bit premature...

No problems for me.

Game has been out since March of last year, so I wouldn't consider it "premature".

Would like to be in your shoes... I can't go 10 seconds without a "crash." I've researched the "boards," disabled the "surround sound," the "reverb," in the game.

I have set the "video" settings to those in Widows. This is quite frustrating! I've done all the MS updates, scanned with antivirus software (run through a firewall) to be sure.

I believe you were cheated.

Someone sold you an Anthon Xp instead of an Athlon!
