are there any special settings i have to make in order for the game to fully use my hardware's capabilities? i have a g4 FX5600 and still at some points the game stutters. especially when i use the wave of death rune, or when i put on the divine aura of innos amulett, or the eye of innos. could it be something about the radical fog setting in the game?
any advice appreciated. |

The graphics card shouldnīt be the bottleneck. Gothic 2 is CPU limited.
If you think the radial fog causes trouble then disable it and try again. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

CPU limited means that a faster CPU will give you more performance. Many games are limited by the graphics card. Then a faster CPU wonīt make a difference while a faster graphics card will give you a boost.
Thatīs why itīs important to find out where the bottleneck is in your system. Exchanging the wrong component will probably only cost you money without improving your situation.
G2 needs:
512 MB RAM (or more), the faster the better
a decent graphics card
the fastest CPU you can afford. 2 GHz are okay but not enough for high frame rates in town. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |
