Currently playing on the PC:
Morrowind
Gothic 2
Warcraft III (I hate RTS games...Have no idea why I got the BattleChest of this)
Out of the Park Baseball
On the PS2:
ESPN NFL2k5
SSX3
GTA: Vice City
Ive started and stopped Morrowind a bunch of times (I have Tribunal but not Bloodmoon) and got bored, but Im trying a different approach this time and am enjoying it again. Gothic was one of my top 3 games Ive ever played, but Im finding G2 to be a little slow going so far (not very far into it yet). Im a RGP nut and a sports nut, so that mostly what I play, and Im currently addicted to ESPN NFL2k5.
I am anxiously awaiting KotOR2 for the PC. Probably pick up HL2 also. I have an EBGames $25 gift card burning a hole in my pocket right now..... |

VTM:Bloodlines - Almost finished, fun game with replay value
World of Warcraft - Solo and random grouping thing is burned out now, guess it's time to do the guild thing. That's if all these dang singleplayer games would stop coming out!
Star Wars: Republic Commando - Hmmm. Well, a Tom Clancy title it isnt. Come to think of it, Knights of the Old Republic is more of a tactical game than this. Think Halo with 3 specialized squadmates, I really dont know why I expected anything more.. Not only is it not a tactical game on par with something from the Clancy-verse, it's an incredibly dumbed down shooter with pals altogether. This game holds your hand with a vengeanace and doesnt let go. Healing stations every 20 feet. Noone dies unless everyone dies. Having ghosted image hot spots for door breaches and what not is one thing, but having them for sniping positions is another. And those ghosted hot spots are the only spots you can snipe from, for example. You cannot cycle thru the views of your squadmates either, they are completely independent entities there to help you. And it uses that stupid circular reticle I hate, i want a crosshair dangit!
Cool looking game tho, and it isnt really all that bad so far if you take it for what it is, which is an FPS with some floating guns helping you out. I was just really expecting a bit more on the tactical side, there was some great Star Wars themed tactical warfare potential here. So if youre thinking this is Republic Recon or something, think twice before plunking down your lunch allowance on this one. _________________ “Then away out in the woods I heard that kind of a sound that a ghost makes when it wants to tell about something that's on its mind and can't make itself understood, and so can't rest easy in its grave, and has to go about that way every night grieving.”-Mark Twain |
