Party members...??!!
   

Have I missed something here............?

I have received a "walkthrough" of Divine Divinity from CDV.

Upon reading it, I came across the statement that Seth (beginning at Aleroth), can join your party.

I cant recall having that option.

Also, in a patches text file it said that the patch resolved some of the party member issues...

I have been playing this as a single character.....

Can anyone shed some light on this for me, or have I completely lost the plot here..........?!?!?!?!?

There are obviously a number of situations where you fight alongside others, but there's no parties in the game I'm playing

I've never had an actual party member except the ones that I have summoned.
