Shrewgirl is dancing because there is a new ES

I loved the older games, still do...I went through major withdrawal when I finally accepted there would be no more wizardry titles...

And then I discovered Morrowwind ES3

I loved the graphics and the combat...

I agree that the plot, the interactions with npcs, etc could be a lot better...it would be great if they found a way to merge both...

I think the biggest step they could take in that direction would be voices for the character and the npcs, and you could customize "the voice" of your character...even if it did not talk all of the time, but only every so often, like in Wiz, that would help us identify with the character, and definately have the npc's "care about our character and vice versa...

That is what I miss most, the personalization, that was in the older games and the game that can bring that back with the graphics, character development and combat and world vizualizations of the newer games, that is the game I am waiting to see and play...will Oblivion be it? No, but maybe it will be an interesting diversion until that game is developed...

People want too many customizations for a game to like it perfectly. The developers surely cant put every feature that everyone likes. Thus comes the mods made by fans to satisfy their and our requirements and needs for additional features. I can only call a game good if its pretty much satisfactory without any mods. Otherwise its the fans that makes the game fun to play not the developers.

Finally, I want to say that many people gave their opinions about the bad sides of MW: graphics, interactivity, gameplay, size, transportation, sounds,...

My biggest problem was that, no matter on what machine I played MW on, it crashed to desktop at about every 45 minutes, sometimes much sooner. How does anyone expect me to keep on playing under such circumstances? I cant save the game every minute. After a few crashes I usually go mad and frustrated and I stop playing.

So please, make sure Oblivion doesnt crash during gameplay... The rest... I am sure the developers will think about those.

Crashes

Try turning off shadows. I think that is what fixed the crashes for me. It was one of the video options that was causing the crashes. It runs pretty reliably now for me.

Well, I agree with Kamahl the combat in Morowind was how to say a little unimaginative, maybe oblivion will be more improved.
