I always still wondering wich was the max level of Gothic and somebody in here reached it???

I think there must be.. I think there is maximum allocated memory space for that value, though it's definitely prety large..
Maybe someone close to developers team would provide better information about this. |

Nope,..It aint 100. Some NPCs have level 999  |

NPCs that are level 999 don't represent what level you can gain up to. 
It wouldn't be hard to figure the max level though. Edit the experience given by a creature, then spawn him and kill him.
Make it so that you gain 9999999999 experience for killing this creature. Then you'll immediately go straight to your max level, if there is one. |

Well the Experience level is a 32bit number, so im guessing
256*256*256 = 16777216 xp points. But there isnt that much baddies to kill to get up that high, only way is by cheating or using a memory scanner. |

Some posted that without cheating there is enough to get around 370 or so skill points. I can not verify that.
Every level to advance takes another 500 exp points.
l0=500, l1=1500, l2=3000, l3=5000, l4=7500, l5=10500
Stone Golem has 150 strg and 150 dex for 300 skill points. sleeper has 500strg 500dex 500man life1000 so his has 1500 skill points.
Life points are 12 per level. 40+ (lvl*12)=life points
So the sleeper with 1000 points is at lvl 80? The life point and skill points are made up and do not follow the character progression. So I do not know really.

Thanx for all the effort. I came to the conclusion that Gothic has Unlimited levels thats good

I just made this. It includes allowing the ske mages to cast all summon scrolls, but not the player casting ones he buys. It dosen't include the beatup and then murder at range cheat. I don't even know if that works.
It does include 5 lessor demons at the unlimited switch trap.

| Just beat it 2nd time in a month |
|
I just beat it tonight for the 2nd time in a month and I was at level 35, I still have it saved so hopefully I'll be able to tell you if it is 40 or not. There is a place where you can get unlimited Lesser demons and it took about 30 of them at 600exp pts a piece to get to the next level and I needed 90 of them to get to the 6th circle it only took about 30 min. I had a WELL rounded chara. and was much easier to run through the ending the 2nd time. I will post later when i reach or surpass 40
