Can you play Morrowind in 16-bit?

Hi
Wondered if you could play MW in 16-bit. Of course I have been playing these last couple of months in 32. Are there any unofficial patches out there which enable you to "downgrade" to get a perormance boost?

I would think you wouldnt be able to.. I'm not sure though..

You might try asking Bethesda on Rendelius's recent post..
