Well, first lets just say that a few days ago I deleted everything on my hard drive and reinstalled windows(And still ended up with 50% system resources when I got it back up and running)

I've downloaded DirectX 8.1, can't find for the life of me the "right" drivers for my Voodoo3 PCI, you ever try that 3dfx site? Its horrible! (500 meg processor and 128 ram btw)

I start things up, can't see screen after the Piranha Bytes logo movie, but somehow I get it to start the game every time. I get to see the intro movie, after a long load, and after Diego helps me up, its the green/grey screen of death! I can hear things just fine, but I just can't see things.

Will fiddling with my card's settings help? Exactly where can I do that?

You have to disable fog. You can do so in the gothic.ini file. I forget the exact setting, but if you searchin around in there you'll see something dealing with fog. Turn it off and, hopefully, it should work.

I had to turn on "fog table emulation" on my advanced Geforce3 settings to avoid this exact problem. According to the docs this resolved errors that occur when a game incorrectly calls the fog routines. If the game slows too much then you are probably better off disabling fog as suggested.
