Can't find my way back to the swamp!!!!

After wandering around for over an hour, I'm ready to pull my hair out. From the gypsy camp, which way is the swamp?? I've wandered around and around, and even gone back to the very entrance to this area, but I cannot for the life of me find the actual swamp, only the eastern swamp areas. I have already been to the swamp itself but didn't go in as I had to complete the bandit quest first. If I am standing in the middle of the gypsy camp, which way do I go to get there?

I remember getting lost here too, but it has been so long I can't remember which direction. I guess just walk around the border of the world until you find it, or until you find a monster and go in that direction.
