| Why am I not leveling up? |
|
I have killed every monster I have come across, and now I am at the part where the snake lady tells you how to open portals. So why am I still level 1? |

This is a slow process in this game. You have to get a lot of exp. and there are only 10 levels in all. I have not seen anyone make it to ten without using the cheat. But I may have missed some. It is very hard to do. So keep on playing and do as many of the side quests as you can to get the extra points.

Your problem may be in killing everything. There is a lot of XP given for quests. These quests are given by NPC's loke goblins and trolls. If you killed them all, you won't have received their quests!! (Kill them later if you feel the need)

Ok I loaded the game this morning and now for some reason the little red cross appeared. I clicked it and had like 65 points to spend, so I guess there was a bug or something that wasnt letting me know I was leveling. |

I knew it couldn't be right that you got to the point where Chinkashh tells you how to use the teleporters without ever having leveled up, since that is a good ways past the beginning of the game.
The top right section of the character's stat book (F1 key) will display your current level and experience points. Whenever you gain a level, that familiar Arx chord will chime, the same one that sounds whenever your quest book gets updated. And as you discovered, the red cross will always be present whenever you have free points to distribute among your attributes or skills.
I must say, however, I am impressed you made it as far as you did with only level 1 attributes and skills. You should have tried to make a game of it to see how much further you could have carried on like that! |
