I saw on the Wizardy boards that an announcement is due in the next two weeks on when Wiz 8 is going to be released in America. A demo will also soon be released. This is great news to me, as Morrowind won't be out 'till next year and I could use a good game to tie me over. Thing is, I have never played a Wizardry game before, so anyone have any info I should know? |

I've never played any Wizardry games either, but apparently they were GREAT games. I'm almost definitely getting 8. The phased-based battle system looks pretty interesting, as do the selectable pc personalities. Check out http://www.wizardry8.com for more info.
Can anybody else comment on the older games of the series? |

I hope that if finally gets released. With all the troubles Sir-Tech have had lately, I intend to get it as soon as its out.I have never played a Wizardy game before, but I cannot believe that it was so hard for them to find a publisher. I really hope its a huge success, and a great game to boot. |

Considering how long they've been teasing us with the release of Wiz 8, will anyone even really believe it's coming out until it's actually on shelves? I'm not even trying to slam the company, I'm serious. I look forward to this game possibly more than any game ever.
It's just with all the bad luck they've had (or whatever has caused so many delays), it would not be surprising to me at all to see them announce a publisher and a date, and some time later announce that it fell through, or something went wrong.
Even though I say all this, I'm still refreshing their board every half hour or so looking for the announcement. I just really hope it's for real. |

Well, anyway, wahey! Where are the bets? I bet that it'll be out by Christmas, or they wouldn't have bothered getting everyone hot with such an announcement. |

November 15. The same day Ireland is in the play-offs for the World Cup. Could be one of the best days of my life. *Big G*

15 Nov. is the USA/Canada release date. I guess we have to wait a little longer here in Europa, but how long? |
