Goldenland - English Release Comments

Posting about Goldenland expansion stuff is frustrating because there's virtually no information about an english release - so I trek over to their forums regularly to stare at the emptiness. Lo and behold - here's something of interest today:
BurutCT began work on localization Goldenland 2: Cold heavens and shortly, namely, in a month, the world will see English-speaking version of the game. Game will release together with previous version Goldenland 2.
Check it out in this thread.

This is good news, I have been keeping an eye on this game for awhile. Has some great artistic backgrounds that reminds of Baldurs Gate.

I don't think that it's that great news, especially as they are only spending a month translating. Especially judging by this example of their English:

'BurutCT began work on localization Goldenland 2: Cold heavens and shortly, namely, in a month, the world will see English-speaking version of the game. Game will release together with previous version Goldenland 2.'

I still don't get what they are trying to say.

IMO translation issues are a huge problem for most non-english developments so I wouldn't be surprised if GL was plagued by similar problems. Still, we don't know if this poster has anything to do with the localisation...time will tell how it turns out.

As for what he is saying - they're localising the Cold Heavens expansion now and the english version of Goldenland will be released as Goldenland and the Cold Heavens expansion together.

Nice. I didn't get that from the news-bit. I had high hopes for this game, and getting the add-on included in the price is pretty cool. I just hope the translation is decent. Looking at the bad press Gothic recieved because of bad translations makes me wonder, as I found the German version had great voice overs.

I think the question is: Should we care? The best translation in the world won't help a crap/mediocre game.
