Seven Shrines "The Pilgrims Path" (puzzle canal)

Hi,

Fisrt of all - I'm sorry if this topic may have been covered here previously.
I brought Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon last week after I caught the RPG bug from Gothic 2. I've read the first 6 pages here but don't have two weeks to read the rest.

I'm trying to complete the quest that requires me to visit and pay homage to, the Seven Shrines. I have the Silver Longsword required for the Puzzle Canal Shrine (as documented in "The Path Of Pilgrims" book). However, nothing happens when I click on the shrine. I've noticed that if I enter the Canals through the 1st level, I exit through the 4th level - this has me wondering if I need to enter/exit the levels in a particular order to accomplish the task rather than heading straight to level 3 where the entry to "Puzzle Canal Centre" lies.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

On the puzzle canal shrine you have to drown yourself in the water. Dont worry you wont die, your health will be restored. I think the shrine quest book refers to it as "going into the water" or something like that. hope this helps!

Yes, you need to die, it is the only way.

WOW! Thanks for the fast replies folks, much appreciated.

This game is awesome - I've spent so many years playing FPS when I really should've been crawling dungeons/building stats/hunting for sweet new weapons & tools/etc. etc. etc.

Morrowind owns!

Sorry that I posted this in the wrong section of the forum.
