Stuck in Chapter 6, how do you get past that hole?

In chapter 6, a bit after a red dragon, there is a huge hole in the ground. Does anyone know how to get to the other side? Or how to go around it? I have been trying to find a way for the past 3 hours but still havent got a clue what to do :S.

You should fire at a switch on the other side with a bow. Diego can tell you this.
