Stumped at Shaman Das

I put the idol on the pedestal and the door open to allow me to speak to Shaman Das. I gave the correct answer to the first question.

For the second question, I answered with the sentence that was in capital letters in Marten's diary. However, DAS acts like that is the wrong answer. It is the same answer that is posted in spoilers in other threads.

Any idea of what I'm doing wrong, or what I might have missed?

Thanks!

This is the second time you've talked to the good Shaman, right?

That's the correct answer you're giving him. Do you have a savegame from before the conversation was started? It might be a good idea to back up and start the conversation again since something isn't behaving properly for you.

Second time? -- Yes. The first time the entrance was thru a pargoda (sp??). There were some braziers floating around that required something to be placed on them but nothing I had at the time worked. I later learned thru one of the threads that it was incense. However, that thread said all that accomplished was make it safe to rest there, which I didn't need to do anyway.

This time I had some incense, but no pargoda with floating braziers. To gain entrance this time I placed the idol on the pedestal.

I have several previous saved games, but I think the last was prior to entering Marten's Bluff the first time, so it will take me a little while to get back to this point.

Thanks.

Fortunately, I didn't have to go back to a previous save. After exiting and re-starting the game, I answered with only the first two words of the sentence and that worked.

Glad it worked out.

Did you use Zuzu petals and "Mysterious potion" in one of the rooms that comes off the pagoda/incense room?

"Did you use Zuzu petals..."

Yes. That was something else that had me confused. There were two rooms with items off the pargoda room as well as the room to Shaman Das. This time, the room with Das was the only one off the idol room. Just as I was about to post this reply, I finally realized, I'm still on Level 5 this time instead of 7.

Thanks again!
