Pirates of the Carribean Question

I just got it and I know a lot of people complain, but its an alright game, its not terrible. But anyways, for those of you who have played it, I want to know how I align myself with the pirates?

if you mean leaving the English flag and become a pirate, you can't.

due to the disney license, the game is very linear and won't let you choose your destiny. you can act as a pirate or choose to support a different country by sunking their ennemies, the game don't care about it and you'll stay the same Nathaniel, praising the english flag.

maybe later, if modders find how to change that, it could be possible..but for now, no way.

and you should go here http://seadogs.bethsoft.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php
for info about modifying your game if you want to continue playing after the main quest (yes, actually the game just end when you'v defeated the last quest) among some others things like reducing strom frequencies, seeing your crew when in first view etc...

In spite of the general line is linear you can get some additional quests from other nations and single people. (Don't forget that such popular RPGs as Morrowind or Gothic also has their general lines.) The gameplay is very exciting, I have played it for 18 hours without a break since I bought it yesterday. The graphics is so beautiful, I've never seen such grass! (Of course water and sky are amazing too but the grassed had mostly impressed me). Thanks to the creators of this game!
