diary problem chapter 5

When I start chapter 5, and go to Xardas tower, after talking to Lester the screen says 'diary updated', but no new entries have been made since chapter 4. I have also talked to pyrokar, hagen, etc and still no diary entries are made.

I also had the '3 dragon bug' where the dragon hunt quest ended after just 3 (fire swamp ice) were killed.

Is there any cheat code I can use to fix the diary, or is my save bad?

Are you sure that you having a frontage on correct entry ? (Try Halls of Irdorath)
They would not be too important also.

(All the information you need is on the letter Lester gives you)

If you completed something out of order, then trigger the quest(which you already did whatever to complete it), you'll get the "writing" to your diary, but it's not going to show as new since it's already been done.

Short version: don't sweat it, it's normal.
