Need help at AP (possible spoiler)

Thanks everyone who has been responding to my questions (mainly tying up loose ends) for me to finally beat this game. Ok, a few questions about AP. First off, what do I answer at the D.D. temple to who has been given knowledge, I tried marten and my character that holds the DD and neither worked. Who do I put? Second, I killed Pee Wee and his friend, is this a bad thing? Third, there was a temple I found I could not get into, is this where I go once I put down the DD? Just for kicks, I was wondering if there was a place to sell items at AP, I need to get rid of some stuff before I fight Savant (too much weight). Lastly, this is completely unrelated to AP, but I really need to know this, is there a way to save my game or just my characters (with their levels and weapons) onto a CD or another disk or something? I want to reinstall Wiz 8 (because of some problems I'm having) but I don't want to get rid of my party completely (this took a lot of work!!!!!). A detailed answer would be appreciated if this is possible, I'm not too computer literate. Thanks a bunch

1. Well, weren't the Higardi the original caretakers of the DD? "Man" would probably work too.
2. Kill or pay a toll? KILL!!
3. Yup.
4. Nope.
5. You can burn your saved games onto a disk.

5) a) create a temporary folder somewhere, such as c:\wiz8temp
b) goto the Wiz8 directory (probably c:\program files\sir-tech\wizardry8)
c) goto the "saves" directory
d) select the save file(s) you wish to keep
-note: you do not need any files from the subdirectories, just the saves
e) move those files to the temp directory (c:\wiz8temp)
f) do your reinstall
g) move your saves out of the temp directory back to the "saves" directory
h) enjoy!

I'm not trying to insult you- you asked for rather specific instructions.

Val's answers for 1-4 (actually 1-5) are fine. She can get a little wordy sometimes...
