Going to start a new game with Bloodmoon.... need advice

I havent played Morrowind since last Christmas. At the time I only had a Athlon 2000+ and Radeon 8500 so it was choppy as can be. Now that I have since used my tax refund for a new system (P4 3.0C Radeon 9700 Pro, 1 gig memory) I figure it should be fun and FLUID I havent kept up with the mod community so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Only one I am sure I will use so far is the Marksman mod since I plan to play a Woodelf "Ranger" character. My only requirements are good compatibility and no "Super Power" mods that destroy game balance and/or make it too easy. Any info (with links to find it) would be greatly appreciated.

morrowind "atmosphere" mods

There was a post in the Elder Scrolls forums a while back listing various mods that enhance the morrowind experience. The thread is at

http://www.elderscrolls.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1695737&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1

Last time I checked it there were about 50 or so mods listed, most of which sounded pretty good.

BTW - with that new rig of yours Morrowind should run smooth as silk. Although depending on which Catalysts you're using you may have a problem with the 9700; I'm using a 9700 All-in-Wonder and have never had any luck with anything after Cat 3.0. Later drivers crash my system soon as I try leaving the boat. But it does look amazing with 6x fsaa & 16x aniso.

No problem; I'm going to use that landcape mod myself next time I run through Morrowind (soon as the Better Bodies mod comes out).

The site must have been down when you tried; I tried it just now & it worked fine.

Anyway, most of the work seems to be done, so the mod should be coming out within the next week or two.
